Oregano Essential Oil
Oregano Essential Oil is like the big surly elder brother of Tea Tree Essential Oil.
Just like Tea Tree Essential Oil, aka Ti Tree Essential Oil, Oregano Essential Oil is antibacterial, antiviral, anti-fungal and parasitic.
This means Oregano Essential Oil can be used to effectively treat all of the conditions which have a fungal, bacterial, viral or parasitic basis… as can Tea Tree Essential Oil. However, being the big brother of Tea Tree Essential Oil makes Oregano Essential Oil both more potent, which means it should be kept in reserve for when the ‘big guns’ are absolutely needed, and it needs to be used with caution within restricted time periods to remain effective and avoid any possibility of toxicity.

Oregano Essential Oil Key Attributes
As well as being anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-microbial, anti-bacterial and anti-parasitic, Oregano Essential Oil is; immune-boosting, anti-ageing, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergenic…
Oregano Essential Oil Background
This incredibly pungent, and, healing essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves of the Oregano plant. As Oregano is an herb, each plant does not grow very large. Because of this it takes about 8Kg to 10Kg of plant matter to create one 10ml bottle of Oregano Essential Oil. This means that a lot of individual plants have been used in the making of one small bottle of essential oil.
Despite this, Wild As The Wind are still able to stock a really affordable high quality Oregano Essential Oil. If you are considering buying the Wild As The Wind Oregano Essential Oil please click on the image above.
Oregano Essential Oil Vs Tea Tree Essential Oil
Oregano Essential Oil is, of course, considerably more expensive than Tea Tree Essential Oil, with which it shares many healing capabilities. It is exactly twice the price.
However, Oregano Oil is a lot more potent than Tea Tree in some respects… but, these two oils, when coupled, actually enhance each other’s healing potential in many ways, hence the inclusion of both oils in the Wild As The Wind Essential Oil First Aid Kit.
Oregano Essential Oil Vs Antibiotics
Many advocates of Oregano Essential Oil are heralding it as the new replacement for antibiotics. Many Functional Medicinal Practitioners are already prescribing Oregano Essential Oil instead of antibiotics, as Oregano Oil doesn’t have any of the associated negative side effects of using antibiotics, namely, the destruction of the patient’s microbiome which is responsible for approximately 80% of a person’s immune system, and the creation of antibiotic resistant super-bugs).
Because Oregano kills bad bacteria, but spares the good bacteria, which we rely on for our health, it is possible to use a very dilute form of the Wild As The Wind Oregano Essential Oil as a safe Antibacterial Hand Sanitiser during camping trips, or at festivals.
**Uninterupted daily use of hand sanitisers using Oregano Essential Oil should be avoided.
Oregano Essential Oil As An Anti-Parasitic
I use Oregano Essential Oil along with Nigella Sativa to perform routine six monthly parasite cleanses. This is because, in many ways, this combination of essential oil and base oil is more effective than many herbal remedies.
Oregano Essential Oil and Nigella Sativa, Or Black Seed Oil do a great job of flushing out the Gall Bladder and Liver, where many parasites hide, especially when under siege via the gut.

Oregano Essential Oil Phenol Content
Oregano Essential Oil is very rich in Phenols. Because Phenols stimulate the nervous and immune systems they have a wide number of therapeutic uses.
Because the use of Oregano Essential Oil should always be restricted to short periods of usage it does not appear in the list of the Phenol rich Hormone & EMF Detox product, which relies on the Phenolic Acid content to work.
Like Tea Tree Essential Oil, Oregano Essential Oil is perfect for using on insect bites for mitigating the nasty symptoms and accelerating healing. And, like with Tea Tree Oil it protects against infection.
Oregano Essential Oil is also anti-dandruff and has even been used to successfully treat warts. It makes for a pretty good muscle rub as well…
